Alwar: A minor girl from Rajasthan's Alwar district was rescued by local villagers after her father had sold her off for Rs. 7 lakh to unknown persons in Haryana.

"The minor girl has filed a complaint against her father and three other persons. The four have been detained and an inquiry has been initiated," Chetram Dagur, SHO, Laxmangarh told.

The girl was rescued when she began screaming for help while she was being forced into a car.

Police have registered an FIR against all four accused under sections 363 and 120B. (ANI)
