Patna: The first results of the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections have begun to trickle in. The Election Commission announced results for some of Bihar's 243 seats. Initial trends indicate a strong hold for the JDU, winning several seats.

Kalyanpur Seat: Maheshwar Hazari Wins Big Victory

The first result came from the Kalyanpur seat, where JDU's Maheshwar Hazari won. Maheshwar Hazari received a total of 118,162 votes, defeating Ranjit Kumar Ram of the CPI-ML by a margin of 38,586 votes. Ranjit Kumar Ram received 79,576 votes, and Ram Balak Paswan of the Jan Suraj Party came in third, with 16,574 votes. A total of 29 rounds of counting were conducted for this seat.

Alauli: Ram Chandra Sada Takes Lead

JDU's Ram Chandra Sada won the Alauli assembly seat. He defeated RJD's Ram Briksh Sada by a margin of 35,732 votes. Ram Chandra Sada received a total of 93,208 votes, while the RJD received 57,476 votes. Yash Raj, son of Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party president Pashupati Paras, came in fourth with 14,261 votes. 24 rounds of counting were conducted in the Alauli seat.

Harnaut: Hari Narayan Singh Wins

JDU candidate Hari Narayan Singh won the Harnaut seat. He received a total of 106,954 votes, defeating Congress's Arun Kumar by a margin of 48,335 votes. Kamlesh Paswan of the Jan Suraj Party came in third with 7,927 votes.

Mokama: Anant Singh wins from jail

Bahubal leader Anant Singh won the Mokama seat by a margin of 28,206 votes. He received a total of 91,416 votes. Veena Devi, wife of strongman Suraj Bhan Singh, came in second with 63,210 votes. Piyush Priyadarshi of Jan Suraj came in third with 19,365 votes. Before the election, Anant Singh was arrested by the police in the Dularchand Yadav murder case, yet he contested the election from jail and won.

Belaganj: Manorama Devi wins

JDU candidate Manorama Devi won from Belagnj. She defeated RJD's Vishwanath Kumar Singh by a margin of 2,882 votes. Manorama Devi received a total of 95,685 votes, while Vishwanath Kumar Singh received 92,803 votes.
