Five dead as car hits divider in Gurugram
Gurugram: A black Mahindra Thar lost control and hit a divider and overturned in Gurugram, Haryana, at around 4:15 a.m. on Saturday morning. The vehicle, bearing the UP registration number UP 81 CS 2319, was carrying a total of six people. Five people died in the accident, while one young man was seriously injured and was immediately admitted to Medanta Hospital.
The deceased include three young men and two young women. The deceased young men are Aditya Pratap Singh (30) and Lavnay (26), residents of Agra. The deceased women are Pratishtha Mishra (25), daughter of Rae Bareli judge Chandramani Mishra, and another deceased is Soni, whose identity is not yet clear. Also among the deceased is Gautam (31), a native of Sonipat and currently living in Greater Noida. The injured man, Kapil Sharma (28), is a resident of Bulandshahr.

According to police, the accident occurred while descending from Exit 9 of National Highway 48. The vehicle was speeding from the Delhi side and the driver lost control, hitting the divider and overturning. Passersby alerted the police, prompting police and ambulances to the scene.
Club bands found on the deceased's hands suggest they were returning home after a late-night party. However, police have not officially confirmed this. It is also not known whether the occupants of the vehicle were intoxicated at the time of the accident.
