IPS Anil Dhasmana to be new RAW chief, Rajiv Jain to head IB

The Special Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat and Madhya Pradesh cadre IPS officer Anil Kumar Dhasmana will be the new chief of country's foreign intelligence department - the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

 


The appointment order issued by the government also brings curtain down on immense speculation over possible extension for the incumbent R&AW chief Rajinder Khanna.

 


Official sources said here that the Rajiv Jain of Jharkhand cadre was today appointed as the new Intelligence Bureau (IB) chief replacing Dineshwar Sharma. 


Jain, a 1980 batch IPS officer was currently posted as Special Director of the IB. (UNI)
