M Venkaiah Naidu takes oath as the 13th Vice President of India.
New Delhi: M Venkaiah Naidu takes oath as the 13th Vice President of India in Rashtrapati Bhavan. The oath was administered by President Ram Nath Kovind.
Earlier in the day, he paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.
He also paid tributes to Deen Dayal Upadhaya and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Following the ceremonial reception Naidu will take over as the speaker of the Rajya Sabha in the Parliament.
