UP Govt appoints SIT to probe IAS officer's death

Varanasi: The Uttar Pradesh Government has appointed a special investigation team (SIT) to probe IAS officer Anurag Tiwari's death. Tiwari was found dead on the roadside in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow's Hazratganj area.

 

State Cabinet Minister, Suresh Khanna on Saturday, "The Uttar Pradesh Government is sensitive to Tiwari's death. A SIT has been constituted to probe his death. It has been given a time slot of three days to complete the investigation."

"None of the culprits will be spared, irrespective of designation or rank held by them," Khanna added.

He was staying at a guest house for the last two days after attending a training programme at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie.

 

Tiwari, hailing from Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich district was an engineer and became an IAS officer in July 2007. (ANI)
