What is Carbon Emission?
It's the release of carbon compounds (like CO2) into the air, mainly from human activities.
Unplug Devices:
Chargers, TVs, and appliances still use power even when off. Unplug them from the socket when not in use..
Use Fans More, AC Less:
opt for ceiling fans or cooler natural air whenever possible. ACs consume a lot of electricity.
Full Loads for Machines:
Only run your washing machine or dishwasher when it's completely loaded; this is a simple hack to save water and energy.
Air Dry Clothes:
Skip the electric dryer. Hang clothes on a line or drying rack – it's free and uses zero power!
Fix Leaky Taps:
A dripping tap wastes thousands of liters of water per year, which means more energy used for pumping and heating.
Eat More Plant-Based Meals:
Try a meat-free meal a few times a week. Producing plant-based food generally has a lower carbon footprint.
Carry Reusable Bags:
Always take your own cloth bags for groceries and shopping to avoid single-use plastic bags
Segregate Your Waste:
Separate wet and dry waste at home. This helps your local municipality recycle more efficiently.
Buy Local & Seasonal:
Choose fruits and vegetables that are grown locally and are in season. This reduces transport emissions and packaging.
