
Audi E7X Unveiled in China
New Delhi: At Auto China 2026, Audi in partnership with SAIC Motor unveiled the AUDI E7X, a China-exclusive electric SUV under the AUDI sub-brand. The model will go on sale in China.
Battery & Charging Performance
The E7X is based on a 900-volt architecture and offers two battery options of 100 kWh and 109 kWh. The top variant delivers a claimed CLTC range of up to 751 km. It supports 4C fast charging, enabling up to 429 km of range in around 10 minutes.
Powertrain Options
Two powertrain options are offered. The rear-wheel-drive version produces 408 hp and 500 Nm of torque, while the dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant generates 680 hp and 800 Nm. The AWD model accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
Cabin & Interior Technology
Inside, the SUV focuses on luxury and technology. It features a 27-inch curved 4K central display, a 21.4-inch rear entertainment screen and configurable four- or five-seat layouts. Seats offer heating, ventilation, and massage functions, with rear recline up to 130 degrees.
Safety & Exterior Design
Safety features include up to 23 airbags, LiDAR-based driver assistance systems and automated parking functions. Exterior highlights include matrix LED headlamps, a closed EV grille, camera-based mirrors, flush door handles and 22-inch aerodynamic wheels.
India Availability
The AUDI E7X is currently designed for the Chinese market and there is no official confirmation of an India launch.
This launch highlights Audi’s push into China’s premium EV segment, where ultra-fast charging, advanced infotainment and high-performance electric drivetrains are becoming key differentiators. The E7X positions itself as a technology-heavy alternative in the luxury SUV space, competing in a rapidly evolving market dominated by the domestic and global EV makers. Further details on pricing and global availability have not been announced. Deliveries in China are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2026 according to industry estimates as of now.
