New Pulsar Platform, Dominar Upgrade and EVs on Bajaj’s 2026 Roadmap
New Delhi: India's leading two-wheeler manufacturer, Bajaj Auto, is preparing to significantly update its motorcycle range in 2026. The company is expected to launch several new models on a new platform, including the Pulsar, a new affordable bike, a new generation Dominar, and electric two-wheelers. According to reports, Bajaj may launch approximately eight new models in the next six months.
The Pulsar brand has long been Bajaj's strongest identity. Recently, the company updated the Pulsar 220F, Pulsar 150, and Pulsar 125. Additional Pulsar variants are expected to receive new features and design updates in the coming months.
There are also reports that Bajaj is developing an entirely new platform for the Pulsar, which could lead to significant changes in performance and technology. Furthermore, the return of the OG Pulsar with its classic round headlamp is also considered possible.
In addition to the Pulsar, Bajaj is also working on a new 125cc commuter bike. This new nameplate is expected to be specifically targeted at the affordable segment and compete with bikes like the Honda Shine, Hero Glamour, and Honda SP 125. This bike is expected to focus on mileage and low price.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 is the company's flagship motorcycle. The current model is powered by a 373cc engine, but a new generation Dominar is expected to be launched in 2026. It is expected to feature a new design, improved riding ergonomics, and a more powerful engine.
According to reports, it could be equipped with the 398cc engine from the KTM Duke 390, making it more powerful and sporty than before.

Due to GST regulations, bikes above 350cc are taxed more. For this reason, Bajaj, KTM, and Triumph are jointly developing a new 350cc engine. A new Bajaj bike based on this engine may also be launched, which will be more tax-efficient.
Bajaj is also rapidly progressing in the electric segment. The Chetak EV is already a successful model for the company. Now, there is news that Bajaj is developing a new electric motorcycle and a new EV platform, which will be based on both scooters and bikes. This could offer increased range and better performance.
