TVS orbiter electric scooter launched in India
New Delhi: TVS Motor Company has officially launched the new TVS Orbiter electric scooter today, expanding its electric two-wheeler portfolio in the domestic market.
As was already predicted, the company has kept this scooter affordable compared to iQube. The starting price of this new electric scooter has been fixed at just Rs 99,900 (ex-showroom).
The TVS Motor company claims that it has many new and advanced features, which are not available in other models in the segment.
About new TVS Orbiter
The company has given this scooter a boxy and futuristic design. TVS says that special work has been done on the aerodynamics of the scooter, which helps it to give 10% extra range. TVS Orbiter has a connected mobile app, front LED headlamp with visor and a colored LCD instrument cluster with incoming call display.
TVS Orbiter has an 845 mm long seat. While the 290 mm straight footboard provides ample legroom to the driver. The company has given a wide and straight handlebar in the scooter, which helps in keeping the riding posture straight. This electric scooter also has an under-seat storage of 34 liters, which is enough to keep two helmets.
The look and design, this scooter is quite different from other models available in the market.
Battery and driving range
TVS Orbiter has a lithium-ion battery pack of 3.1 kWh capacity. The company claims that it gives the scooter a great driving range of up to 158 km on a single charge. Its battery is IP67 rated, which keeps it completely safe from dust, sunlight or water. It has 14-inch wheels which help the scooter to run easily even on bad roads.

The TVS Orbiter, which comes with 169 mm ground clearance, has LED headlamps with integrated indicators, edge-to-edge combination lamps, a USB charging port and a strong body. Orbiter graphics on the body of the scooter, connected tail lamps etc. make its design even better.
TVS Orbiter makes safety even better with its advanced set of connected features. The company says that this electric scooter has features like time fence, live location tracking, navigate-to-vehicle, crash and fall alert, emergency notification, geofencing, anti-theft and towing alert. Apart from this, it is the first electric scooter in the segment to have cruise control.
Alert will be available
It has a feature that, if your scooter is parked in the parking lot and suddenly falls due to some reason. So in this situation, an immediate alert will come on your smartphone. From which you will be able to know that there has been a change in the position of the scooter. Apart from this, it also gets anti-theft alert to avoid vehicle theft.
TVS Orbiter has been launched by the company with a total of 6 color options. Which includes Neon Sunburst, Stratos Blue, Lunar Gray, Stellar Silver, Cosmic Titanium and Martian Copper. Official booking of this electric scooter has been started. Which can be booked through the company's official website and authorized dealership.

This electric scooter has increased the competition in the market. Now this new scooter will give tough competition to the electric scooters of Ola Electric, Hero Vida, Bajaj Chetak and Ather Energy in the market.
