Bureaucracy: UP Govt transferred 3 IPS in state; Ashok is new ADG in Gorakhpur

Lucknow: Yogi Adityanath government continues to transfer IAS and IPS officers.

The Home Department has released the transfer list of three IPS officers on Thursday.

These include ADG Zone of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's karmabhoomi Gorakhpur.

Mutha Ashok Jain Appointed ADG, Gorakhpur Zone

In another high-level change, 1995 batch IPS officer Mr Jain, a senior IPS officer, has been posted as Additional Director General (ADG) of Police, Gorakhpur Zone. Until now, he was serving as ADG, Recruitment and Promotion Board.

His new posting places him in charge of a strategically sensitive zone in eastern UP, considered important from a law and order perspective.

Dr KS Pratap Kumar Takes Over as DG, CMD, Police Housing Corporation

1993 batch IPS officer Dr KS Pratap Kumar, promoted to the post of DG Gorakhpur Zone, has been sent to take over the post of Director General of Police and CMD (Construction, Maintenance & Development) Uttar Pradesh Police Housing Corporation.

His responsibilities will include overseeing the planning and execution of infrastructure for the UP Police, including housing and departmental buildings.

PC Meena Named DG, Prison Administration and Correctional Services

1991 batch IPS officer PC Meena has been appointed as the Director General (DG) of Police and CMD Uttar Pradesh Police Housing Corporation PC Meena has been transferred to the post of Director General of Police Prison Administration and Correctional Services.

This department oversees the state’s prison infrastructure and inmate management, and Meena’s experience is expected to bring further institutional efficiency and reforms.
