The action comes after concerns were reportedly raised over the functioning of the board during the controversy linked to OSM-related issues. Both officers were found lacking in effectively handling key responsibilities and managing the situation.
The development has triggered a major administrative reshuffle within CBSE at a time when the board has been facing scrutiny over its functioning and internal processes.
No official detailed statement has yet been issued regarding their next postings or the full scope of the review that led to the decision.
Rahul Singh was given a two-year extension as the chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in August 2025. He was appointed to the post of CBSE chairperson in March 2024. The controversy surrounding CBSE has remained under discussion in recent weeks, prompting demands for greater accountability and administrative reforms within the examination body.
