Lucknow: Ram Yash Singh, a retired IPS officer who served as DIG in Bihar, passed away in Lucknow on Monday at around 12 noon at the age of 83. He suffered a heart attack at approximately 11:30 am and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
As news of his demise came in, a deep sense of loss was felt across the Dynamite News family. A condolence meeting was held at the organization’s Delhi headquarters where Editor-in-Chief Manoj Tibrewal Aakash along with other Journalists and staff members paid heartfelt tributes to the departed soul.
Manoj Tibrewal Aakash described Ram Yash Singh’s demise as an irreparable loss not only for Dynamite News but also for the entire nation.
He remembered him as an officer who viewed policing not merely as a profession but as a means of public service, always prioritizing his duties with integrity and dedication. His contributions to policing, legal services, and the growth of Dynamite News will always be remembered.
He also noted that the entire Dynamite News family stands with the bereaved family in this difficult time and prayed for peace for the departed soul.
Ram Yash Singh was a 1985-batch IPS officer of the Bihar cadre. He earned his B.Sc. degree from Jain College, Arrah, and began his career in some of Bihar’s most challenging districts.
He served as SSP in West Champaran, East Champaran, and Jehanabad, gaining recognition for his strict discipline and honesty. After retirement, he continued contributing to society as a senior advocate at the Patna High Court. He was also awarded the President's Police Medal for Gallantry for displaying exceptional courage and valor during his tenure.
His demise has left the police and administrative circles in deep mourning.
