Major administrative reshuffle in Jharkhand police
Ranchi: A major reshuffle has been carried out within the police administration in Jharkhand. Issuing a comprehensive notification, the Department of Home, Prisons, and Disaster Management has transferred 201 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) across the state. Following this large-scale administrative overhaul, police officers have been assigned to new postings in several districts.
According to the released list, several significant changes have also taken place in Ranchi. Neeraj Kumar has been appointed as the DSP for Harya, while Deepak Kumar has been posted as the DSP for Bero. Similarly, Manish Chandra Lal has been entrusted with the responsibility of DSP for Silli. Alok Kumar Singh has been appointed as the DSP for the Ranchi CCR (Central Control Room).
Meanwhile, Ajay Aryan has been assigned the charge of DSP for Ranchi Headquarters-2. To strengthen surveillance and enforcement against cybercrimes, Pradeep Kumar has been appointed as the DSP for the Ranchi Cyber Cell.
Additionally, changes have also been implemented in the Dhanbad district. Prakash Soy has been assigned the responsibility of DSP for Law and Order in Dhanbad. The administration believes that this large-scale transfer exercise will further reinforce the law and order situation across the districts.
The list released by the Home Department provides details regarding the new postings for all 201 DSPs. It is reported that this measure has been undertaken with the objective of enhancing administrative efficiency and making the policing system more effective.
The simultaneous transfer of such a large number of DSP-rank officers across the state has become a subject of widespread discussion. It is anticipated that this move may lead to observable changes in policing strategies and operational methodologies within the districts.
