UPSC 2024: Uttar Pradesh gets 20 IAS Cadres; Significant for administrative reforms

New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Personnel has released the cadre allocation list for the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024, and Uttar Pradesh has bagged the cadre allocation for a total of 20 successful candidates, including several names from outside UP. This list indicates that a large group of new and talented officers will now be joining the administrative structure in UP. This could prove to be a significant step towards administrative reforms and stronger leadership in the state.

Topper Shakti Dubey Gets Home Cadre UP
All India Topper of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024, Shakti Dubey, has been allocated his home cadre of Uttar Pradesh. This is a matter of pride for the state, as Shakti has achieved this feat through his hard work and dedication. Besides Shakti, other candidates from UP, such as Komal Punia, Mayank Tripathi, Siddharth Singh, Shweta, and Shivam Singh, have also been allocated the UP cadre. This indicates that local talent in the state will get the opportunity to play a leading role in the administration.

Candidates From Other States
The number of candidates from outside UP among the 20 cadres allocated to Uttar Pradesh is also significant. Candidates from states like Haryana, Bihar, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu have also been allocated the UP cadre. These include names like Aditya Vikram Agarwal, Hemant, Sanskriti Trivedi, Riya Saini, Shivansh Subhash Jagade, Sanoli Gautam, and Thangaiyarasan T. These candidates from diverse states will bring new perspectives and approaches to the UP administration, further strengthening the governance system.
