New Delhi: Bharti Airtel delivered better-than-expected results in the July-September 2025 quarter. The company's consolidated net profit surged 73.6% to ₹6,792 crore, significantly higher than the previous year. This growth was primarily driven by an increase in premium mobile users and strong performance in the broadband segment.

Increased Revenue from Mobile and Broadband

Airtel's average revenue per user (ARPU) increased from ₹233 to ₹256, reflecting the company's strong customer base and growing data usage. Total revenue increased by 25.7% to ₹52,145 crore. Revenue in India grew by 22.6%, reaching ₹38,690 crore.

The home broadband segment also performed exceptionally well, adding 9.5 lakh new customers. This resulted in a more than 30% jump in revenue for this business.

Rapid Increase in Data Consumption

The average data usage of Airtel users has now reached 28.3 GB per month. The company added 5.1 million new smartphone customers in this quarter, bringing the percentage of smartphone users among its mobile subscribers to 78%.

Network Expansion and Infrastructure Investment

The company has emphasized network expansion. In this quarter, Airtel installed 2,479 new towers and added 20,841 mobile broadband base stations. Additionally, over 44,000 km of fiber network was laid in the past year.

Improved Operational Performance and Margins

The company's consolidated EBITDA increased by 35.9% to ₹29,919 crore, while the EBITDA margin in India reached 60%. EBIT also increased by 51.6% to ₹16,669 crore. The company's MD, Gopal Vittal, stated that these results are a testament to Airtel's robust strategy and efficient capital management.

Strong Growth in the Africa Segment

Airtel Africa recorded a 24.2% year-on-year growth in the quarter. EBITDA margin reached 48.8%, and EBIT margin reached 32.3%. The company incurred a capital expenditure of ₹11,362 crore in this quarter.
