New Delhi: After witnessing continuous fluctuations, gold and silver prices have once again entered a strong upward trend. Rising demand, global market uncertainty and increased investor interest in precious metals have pushed prices higher, creating a buzz among buyers and investors.
Silver has witnessed a major rally after remaining stable for three consecutive days. Within the last two trading sessions, the price of one kilogram of silver has increased by a massive ₹10,100.
On Wednesday, silver prices in major cities including Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata stood at around ₹2,55,100 per kilogram. Chennai recorded the highest silver price, with rates touching ₹2,60,100 per kilogram.
The sharp rise in silver prices is being attributed to strong industrial demand along with increased investment interest. Silver is widely used in sectors such as electronics, renewable energy and manufacturing, which has supported its demand.
Gold prices have also remained at higher levels despite minor fluctuations. In Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold was recorded at ₹1,53,980 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was available at ₹1,41,160 per 10 grams.
Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad recorded 24-carat gold prices around ₹1,53,830 per 10 grams. Chennai witnessed slightly higher rates, with 24-carat gold priced at ₹1,54,380 per 10 grams.
In Lucknow, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,53,980 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at ₹1,41,160 per 10 grams.
Market experts believe that precious metal prices may continue their upward movement in the coming weeks. According to analysts, gold could move towards the ₹1.57 lakh per 10-gram level, while silver may potentially reach ₹2.80 lakh per kilogram.
Experts suggest that investors are turning towards gold as a safe-haven asset ahead of key inflation data releases in the United States. Global economic uncertainty and expectations around interest rate movements are also influencing precious metal prices.
Meanwhile, silver is receiving additional support from strong industrial demand, which could keep prices elevated.
For consumers planning to buy jewellery or invest in precious metals, experts recommend closely monitoring market movements. International economic developments, currency fluctuations and demand trends could play a crucial role in determining future gold and silver prices.
