Hurun India's Most Valuable Family Business has released a list of families who have not only taken their business to great heights, but have also made a big contribution to Indian economy. The Ambani family has once again topped this list which is exceptionally noteworthy.
For the second consecutive year Mukesh Ambani and his family have topped the list. His entire net worth is currently Rs 28.2 lakh crore. That's about half of India's total economy. This company is playing a big role in the energy, digital and retail sectors. Started in 1957, this business is now being run by the second generation.
Led by Kumar Mangalam Birla, the Aditya Birla Group has reached the second position in this list with a wealth of Rs 6.5 lakh crore. They are a big name in the cement and metal industry. This business, which started in the 1850s, is now being carried forward by the fourth generation.
The Jindal family, led by Sajjan Jindal of the JSW Group, took the third spot with a wealth of Rs 5.7 lakh crore. Their strong hold in metals and mining has made them among the top steel producers in the country.

According to the Hurun Report, the top earning sectors in family businesses in India are energy, financial services and software & IT.
Meanwhile, Stock market boom primarily benefited business magnate Gautam Adani. His fortune increased by $503019188700 to $574 billion in a single day. As a result he moved back into the top 20 richest individuals in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index and his net worth increased to $79.7 billion.
18th on the list is Mukesh Ambani. In a single day he has made a profit of DOT 40 billion. His net worth is currently $992.5 billion. But when it comes to earnings only Elon Musk surpasses Adani. His jump of USD 6.69 billion places him at the top of the worlds 20 richest people list.
