New Delhi: The latest petrol and diesel rates in country were released Tuesday morning. Oil marketing companies (OMCs) update prices based on international crude oil prices and fluctuations in the dollar-rupee exchange rate. These changes directly impact the common man's pockets, making it essential to stay updated on daily prices.

Minor Changes in Prices

Slight fluctuations in petrol and diesel prices have been observed in most districts of the state. Minor changes in rates have also been recorded in major cities like Lucknow, Agra, Kanpur, Noida, and Ghaziabad. However, overall prices have remained stable, with no significant increase.

Today's Latest Rates

The average price of petrol in Uttar Pradesh today is ₹94.69 per liter, slightly lower than the previous day's ₹94.73. Diesel is priced at ₹87.81 per liter, a slight decline from yesterday's ₹87.86. Over the past 10 days, petrol has ranged between ₹94.65 and ₹94.73, and diesel between ₹87.76 and ₹87.86.

Why are prices stable?

Petrol and diesel prices are relatively stable after May 2022 due to tax cuts by the central and several state governments. Although global crude oil prices continue to fluctuate, their impact is limited in India.

What will be the impact going forward?

Experts believe that fuel prices will depend on international crude oil prices and the dollar-rupee exchange rate in the future. If global prices rise, their impact could be felt in India as well.

Advice for Consumers

Motorists are advised to check petrol and diesel prices daily and plan their travel and expenses accordingly. This can help maintain a balanced budget amid rising inflation.
