Agra: A shocking murder mystery that began with the discovery of decomposed human body parts inside a suitcase on a train at Agra railway station has taken a major turn. Police investigations using CCTV footage have traced the suspected crime trail to a house in Chennai, where more human remains were allegedly found.

The victim has been identified as 38-year-old Hayuthan Nisha from Odisha. Police have identified two suspects who allegedly murdered her and disposed of her body parts inside a suitcase.

Body Parts Found in Suitcase on Chennai-New Delhi Train

The case came to light after a train travelling from Chennai Central to New Delhi reached Agra on August 5.

Passengers noticed a foul smell coming from a suspicious suitcase and alerted railway authorities. When railway police opened the bag, they were shocked to find decomposed human body parts inside.

Following the shocking discovery, the Agra railway police launched an investigation to identify the victim and track down those responsible.

CCTV Footage Helps Police Trace Suspects

During the investigation, police examined CCTV footage from railway stations and other locations.

The footage reportedly showed two suspects carrying a similar trolley bag while boarding the train from Chennai Central. Based on this evidence, Agra railway police alerted their counterparts in Chennai. The suspects were identified as Manik Uddin Laskar and Bhagwati Majhi.

Further investigation led police to their residence in Guduvanchery, Chennai, where officials allegedly recovered additional decomposed body parts from a cooking vessel.

Suspects Missing, Investigation Continues

Both suspects are currently absconding, according to police officials. A police officer said that the exact motive behind the murder would become clear only after the suspects are arrested and questioned. Investigators are also waiting for forensic examination reports to confirm whether all recovered body parts belong to the same person.

The police have registered a missing person case based on a complaint filed by the victim’s son. Further investigation is underway to uncover the complete sequence of events behind the gruesome crime.
