Nalanda: Four died after five members of the same family consumed poison in Pawapuri village in the Nalanda district.
The reason for consuming poison is said to be the burden of debt on the family.
The deceased have been identified as Deepa Kumari (16), Arika Kumari (14), Soni Kumari (38) and Shivam Kumar (15). The injured one is Dharmendra Kumar (40), police said, adding that they hail from Purnakama village in Sheikhpura district.

It is told that Dharmendra Kumar's family lived in a rented house in front of Jal Mandir in Pawapuri village.
Dharmendra is a resident of Sheikhpura district. His family includes wife Soni Kumari, two daughters Deepa and Arika, and two sons Shivam and a younger son.

According to the information, Dharmendra opened a clothes shop six months ago. But he was continuously incurring losses in business. Due to this he was under mental stress. It is being told that the family had a debt of about five lakh rupees. Due to this problem, he took this step.
Rajgir DSP Sunil Kumar said that Dharmendra's younger son is safe, because he did not consume poison. He is currently under police supervision. He also told that there are a total of six members in the family.
