Bihar Horror: 5 members of the same family burned alive in Purnia

Patna: Sensational incidents have been coming to light from Bihar for the last few days. The case of the murder of businessman Gopal Khemka in Patna was not yet solved when, on Monday, news of a heart-wrenching incident came to light from Bihar. After the murder of three people in two incidents on Monday morning, five members of the same family were burnt alive in the afternoon.

According to the Dynamite News correspondent, 5 members of the same family were burnt alive in Purnia district. All the people were first beaten up, and then all were burnt. According to the information, all these people were killed on the charge of being witches. This incident has created a sensation in the area.

The dead include three women and two men. After the incident, there is mourning in the entire village and the police department is on alert.

According to the information, some people of the village suspected Sita Devi (48 years) to be a witch. On Sunday night, a panchayat of about 200 villagers was called under the leadership of the village head (Marrar) Nakul Oraon, in which Sita Devi, her husband Babulal Oraon (50), mother-in-law Kato Devi (65), son Manjit Oraon (25) and daughter-in-law Rani Devi (23) were called and a Talibani decree was announced, calling them witches.

After this, everyone was brutally beaten with sticks, then burnt alive by sprinkling petrol. The incident was carried out in front of the deceased's son Sonu Kumar. Somehow Sonu escaped from there saving his life and informed the police.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police of Mufassil police station as well as three nearby police stations reached the spot. SP Sweety Sehrawat, ASP Alok Ranjan and other senior officers reached the spot and started investigation.

Mufassil SHO Uttam Kumar said that so far two bodies have been recovered, the remaining three are being searched. Marrar Nakul Oraon of the village and the tractor driver involved in the incident have been arrested.

The police is continuously conducting search operations so that the remaining bodies can also be recovered and the accused can be given severe punishment.
