New Delhi: In a significant anti-corruption action, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested a Senior Secretariat Assistant of Kendriya Vidyalaya, BNP, Dewas, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 60,000. The arrest comes as part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to curb corruption in government institutions.

The case was registered by the CBI on December 23, 2025, following a written complaint alleging that the accused demanded the bribe to clear bills related to the provision of security and manpower services for the school.

Trap Laid by CBI

Acting on the complaint, the CBI laid a trap on December 25, 2025. The official was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe amount through a banking channel. “The accused was arrested on the spot and later produced before the Hon’ble Court,” a senior CBI official said.

The court granted three days’ police custody for the accused, allowing the investigating agency to carry out further questioning and gather additional evidence related to the case.
