14 Naxalites killed in Chhattisgarh
Raipur: As many as 14 Naxalites were killed in two separate encounters with Security Forces in Bastar and Sukma regions on Saturday, said a Security Official.
The Police Official further said that security forces have gunned down atleast 10 Naxalites in Sukma district. Two others Naxalites were killed in Bijapur.

Search operation still underway
A Security spokesperson said that security forces have killed two Naxalites in an encounter in the southern part of Bijapur district. He said that based on information about the presence of armed Maoists in the southern area of Bijapur district, a team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) was sent for a search operation.
Intermittent firing between security forces and Naxalites has been going on in the area since 5 am on Saturday. He said that so far, the bodies of two Naxalites have been recovered from the encounter site.

According to Security Officials as the search operation is still going on, other information regarding the operation including the location of the encounter, the number of security personnel involved in the operation cannot be shared at this time to ensure the safety of the personnel involved.
The Official said that the detailed information can be shared only after the operation is completed.
The security forces gathered intelligence about the area beforehand and conducted a search operation, dividing themselves into three teams. As soon as the Maoist group opened fire, the soldiers retaliated. Weapons belonging to the Naxalites were also seized after the encounter. The promptness and planning of the DRG (District Reserve Guard) led to the success of the operation.

Following this operation, the local administration and security forces praised the promptness and courage of the soldiers. Officials stated that continuous action against the Naxalites will continue, and law and order will be strengthened in the state.
These successes in Sukma and Bijapur demonstrate the strength of the security forces' strategy and decisive action. The administration believes that such operations will play a crucial role in weakening Maoist terrorism and ensuring security in rural areas.
