Chhattisgarh: Soldier martyred, 3 injured as IED planted by Naxal explodes in Bijapur

Bijapur: During an anti-Naxal operation in the National Park area of the district, a DRG jawan was martyred in an IED blast. At the same time, three soldiers have been injured. Who are now out of danger.

According to the information, the DRG team went on an anti-Naxal operation on Sunday. During the operation, a DRG jawan Dinesh Nag was martyred due to an IED explosion in the National Park area on Monday morning.

Three other jawans have also been injured in the blast, however, the matter of relief is that the condition of all three is now said to be normal and they are out of danger. After giving them first aid, they are being evacuated for better treatment and necessary medical facilities are being provided.

The police have been told that after the operation is over, detailed information related to this incident will be shared.

How did the blast happen?

According to the officer, a team of DRG and state police together conducted an operation against the Naxalites on Sunday. During this time, the Naxalites had planted an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on the way. When the team of security forces reached the spot, there was a loud bomb blast, in which the soldier was martyred.

Injured soldiers is out of danger

Officials said that on Sunday, the team of District Reserve Guard (DRG) was sent on an anti-Maoist operation. During the operation on Monday morning, policeman Dinesh Nag died due to a landmine explosion. The condition of the injured soldiers is out of danger. After first aid, arrangements are being made to give them better treatment.

Pressure IED blasts had also taken place last week

Last week also, a DRG officer was injured in a pressure IED blast planted by the Maoists in Bijapur district. This incident took place on Thursday (August 14) afternoon in the forest of Indravati area within the limits of Bhairamgarh police station. At this time, a joint team of two units of the state police (DRG and Special Task Force) was out on an anti-Naxal operation.
