Delhi Police arrested 3 criminals; had committed 9 crimes

New Delhi: Alipur police station has arrested three criminals of a gang who used to break into houses in Alipur police station areas in outer Delhi.

Initial investigation revealed that the criminals have committed nine crimes. The accused have been identified as Sadiq Raisuddin and Shahzad.

Outer-North District Deputy Commissioner of Police Hareshwar V Swami said that recently complaints of three theft incidents were received in Alipur area.

A complainant Mohit told that on June 22, about seven lakh rupees, 40 tola gold jewellery, four kg silver, three wrist watches, three cartridges and a magazine of a licensed pistol were stolen from his house.

The police team searched CCTV footage around the crime scenes. Then the police arrested three criminals of the gang after identifying them with the help of informers. During interrogation, it was found that the criminals used to target closed houses at night.

The police have recovered 90 grams of gold pieces (in melted form), a gold chain, four gold rings, about four kilograms of silver, a silver coin, three wrist watches, Rs 67,000, three cartridges, tools used to break locks and the bike used for the crime from the accused.

The police is interrogating them and trying to find out about their other accomplices.
