New Delhi: People could not even forget the case of killing the husband with his cousin in Uttam Nagar that now a similar incident has taken place in Nihal Vihar of the outer district.
Distraught over marital life and financial constraints, the wife first gave sleeping pills to her husband and then stabbed him to death.
Like the Uttam Nagar murder, in this case too, the woman tried to mislead the police. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Shahid alias Irfan. The police have arrested his wife in connection with the murder.
The police have also recovered three knives used in the crime. Apart from the crime team, the FSL team has collected evidence from the spot. Investigations have revealed that Farzana was also having an affair with her cousin brother-in-law who lives in Bareilly.
Outer District Deputy Commissioner of Police Sachin Sharma said the Nihal Vihar police received information about the death of a youth from Sanjay Gandhi Hospital at around 4:15 pm on Sunday.

When the police reached the spot, they found that the deceased's brother Zafar Hussain had taken him to the hospital. Three stab wounds were found on the boy's body. Police were investigating the case. The body was sent for postmortem.
During the investigation, Shahid's wife Farzana told the police that her husband was addicted to online betting. He was constantly losing, due to which he had a lot of debt. He had taken several pills. He also vomited.
He killed himself by stabbing himself in the stomach amid stress due to debt, but when the post-mortem of the body was done the next day, the doctors declared it a murder considering the wound found on the body.
Couple of months ago the police have arrested a woman and her partner for killing her husband and burning his body to get rid of evidence. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Digant Anand, said that the man was killed when his wife, Gopali Devi, had an argument with him about her cheating. Her partner, Deendayal, was also involved in the murder.
