Faridabad: A 30-year-old teacher was allegedly stabbed to death by a masked assailant inside a private school in Haryana's Faridabad on Monday in a shocking incident that has raised serious concerns over security in educational institutions. Police have launched a manhunt for the accused, who fled the scene after the attack.

According to police, the incident took place at a private school in the Sikrauna area during school hours. The victim, a mother of two, was reportedly dragged out of her classroom by the attacker before being repeatedly stabbed with a knife.

Attacker allegedly waited inside school

Preliminary investigation suggests the accused entered the school through the main gate between 9:30 am and 9:40 am with his face covered by a white cloth. After waiting inside the premises for some time, he allegedly asked school staff about the teacher.

As soon as the teacher came outside, the accused allegedly pulled her away and launched a brutal knife attack.

Victim suffered multiple stab wounds

Police said the assailant repeatedly targeted the teacher's neck and chest, inflicting around 18 to 20 stab wounds within a short span. When colleagues rushed to help after hearing her screams, the attacker allegedly threatened them and continued the assault before fleeing the school.

The victim was immediately taken to Al-Falah Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Police examine CCTV footage

Investigators have secured CCTV footage from the school and nearby areas to identify the accused and reconstruct the sequence of events. Police said multiple teams have been formed to trace the suspect and determine the motive behind the killing.

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, while further investigation is underway. Authorities are also questioning school staff and witnesses as part of the probe.
