Greater Noida: Residents of Vaidpura village in Greater Noida demanded strict action by placing the body of 28-year-old Deepak Nagar on the road. As the situation grew tense, senior officials arrived at the scene.

The villagers initially insisted on summoning the Police Commissioner to the spot; however, they relented after senior officers arrived and engaged them in dialogue.

Currently, the villagers have removed Deepak Nagar's body from the road. The police have requested a few hours' time to take action. Deepak's body has now been taken back to Vaidpura village, and preparations for his cremation are underway.

Shot in the Chest

Reportedly, 28-year-old Deepak Nagar, a resident of Vaidpura village, worked the night shift at a factory located in Ghazipur. On Wednesday, he had left his home to report for his night duty.

No sooner had Deepak stepped out of his house than three assailants—who were lying in ambush—riddled him with bullets. The scene erupted in chaos and cries of distress. It is reported that the assailants fired six bullets into Deepak Nagar's chest.

After committing the crime, the assailants fled the scene.

Main City Road Blocked

The villagers allege that Deepak Nagar's family had filed a complaint with the police on the very night of the incident, yet police officials remained inactive. In the morning, the villagers blocked the road connecting Greater Noida West to Dadri and Greater Noida.

Placing Deepak's body on the road, they staged a peaceful protest, demanding that the murderers be neutralized in a police encounter. Following this, senior officers of the Noida Police arrived at the scene.
