Greater Noida: Five members of a family, including three children aged between three and 11, were found dead at their home in a village in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday. Police suspect food poisoning may have caused the deaths, as the family had reportedly eaten noodles the previous night.
The deceased have been identified as Mahesh, 37, his wife Lalita, 35, and their children Laddu, 11, Mishti, 7, and Sakshat, 3. The exact cause of their deaths is yet to be established, and investigators are awaiting the findings of post-mortem examinations and scientific tests.
Police said they received information about the deaths on Saturday morning. Local police personnel, senior officers, an ambulance and a team from the Food Safety Department rushed to the spot.

A forensic team and a field unit also examined the scene and began collecting scientific evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
The bodies were being sent for post-mortem examinations as part of the investigation. Officials are expected to examine the available evidence and medical findings before reaching a conclusion about what happened to the family.
According to police, Mahesh's mother and neighbours told investigators that the family had eaten noodles the previous night.
The information has led investigators to suspect possible food poisoning. However, police have not confirmed whether the food consumed by the family was responsible for the deaths.
