Nikki allegedly set ablaze for dowry in Greater Noida
Greater Noida: In an extremely shocking incident, her husband and mother-in-law allegedly set ablaze the daughter-in-law 28-year-old Nikki in Sirsa for a dowry demand of ₹35 lakh. She succumbed to her injuries while being transferred to Fortis Hospital in Noida and from there to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

His father, Satyaveer Bhati, and brother, Rohit Bhati, are on the run, while her mother-in-law, Daya is also mentioned in FIR.

This horrific incident was unfolded by the six-year-old son of Nikki who recollected the incident and said “Meri mumma ke upar kuch dala, fir unko chanta mara fir lighter se aag laga di (they poured something on my mother, slapped her and set her ablaze with a lighter)."

Earlier, a video of a woman went viral showing her husband Vipin and another woman assaulting Nikki at the woman's house in Sirsa, Greater Noida. Her hair is also being pulled in the video. After this, another video surfaced in which Nikki is seen surrounded by flames. She is staggering down the stairs.

While there is a demand for strict police action against Nikki's in-laws over her death, on Saturday night around 1 am, the accused husband Vipin shared an emotional post on Instagram. A sensitive song was playing in the background of the post. He wrote, "Why didn't you tell me what happened? Why did you leave me? Why did you do this? People are calling me a murderer, Nikki."
At the end of the post, he said, "After your death, a lot of bad things are happening to me." In another Instagram story, Nikki and Vipin can be seen laughing in a video. They are accompanied by their son, who looks happy. The caption of this video reads, "I am completely broken. I have nothing left now."
