Preliminary investigations suggest that the shooting stemmed from an old quarrel between the three students, all of whom attend Yaduvanshi School, situated near the residential complex.
According to the victim’s mother, the main accused whose father owned the firearm called her son multiple times, insisting on meeting him. Initially hesitant, the victim eventually agreed to meet, after which he was picked up by the accused from his residence.
Police suspect that the confrontation escalated from this meeting, leading to the shooting. Investigators are also examining the nature of the prior dispute to understand the motive in greater detail.
The Gurugram Police have seized one pistol, one magazine, five live cartridges, and one empty cartridge from the scene. During further searches at the accused’s residence, another magazine along with 65 live cartridges was recovered from a box in one of the rooms.
Authorities have stated that strict action is being taken under relevant sections of the law, given the involvement of minors and possession of a licensed firearm.
