Noida: New details have emerged in the death case of 33-year-old Twisha Sharma, a Noida resident who was found dead at her matrimonial home in Bhopal earlier this month. Alleged chat messages attributed to Twisha have surfaced online, with investigators continuing to probe allegations of dowry harassment and domestic abuse.

Twisha was found hanging at her husband’s residence in the Katara Hills area on May 12. According to police, she had married Samarth Singh in December 2025 after the two reportedly met through a dating application in 2024.

Chats Suggest Emotional Distress

Several media reports have cited alleged Instagram conversations in which Twisha appeared emotionally distressed. In one of the messages, she allegedly wrote, “I am trapped bro. Bas tu mat phasna,” suggesting she was struggling with her situation.

The chats, which are now part of public discussion surrounding the case, are being examined alongside other evidence gathered during the investigation. Officials have not yet officially verified the authenticity of the messages.

Family Seeks Second Autopsy

Twisha’s family staged a protest outside the residence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, demanding a second autopsy and a more detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

The initial post-mortem examination conducted at AIIMS Bhopal stated that the cause of death was hanging. However, the report also reportedly mentioned simple injury marks on parts of her body, prompting further suspicion from the family.

Relatives have refused to perform the last rites and have demanded that the body be examined again at AIIMS Delhi.

SIT Formed to Probe Allegations

Police have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate allegations against Twisha’s husband Samarth Singh and his mother, a retired judge.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajneesh Kashyap, who is leading the SIT, said the investigation covers allegations of dowry harassment, physical assault and possible destruction of evidence.

An FIR has been registered under provisions related to dowry death and harassment. Officials said the retired judge has secured anticipatory bail, while Samarth Singh’s anticipatory bail plea is scheduled for hearing. Police records currently list him as absconding. Investigators are continuing to collect statements, digital evidence and forensic details as the case remains under active probe.
