Nephew killed by uncle in Madhya Pradesh (Source: Internet)
Maihar: A man allegedly killed his nephew by attacking him with an axe over a land dispute in Maihar district of Madhya Pradesh, police said on Sunday.
Police sources said there was an ongoing dispute over a piece of land in Bansipur village between Ashiq Kol and his uncle Lalli Kol.
On Friday evening, Lalli Kol, with three others, allegedly attacked Ashiq Kol with an axe. The nephew suffered serious injuries and succumbed to them during treatment at a hospital.
All the accused have been absconding since the incident. Maihar Kotwali police are searching for the accused.
On 1 June, a 65-year-old social worker was allegedly killed by his nephew over a land dispute in Giridih district of Jharkhand, police said.
Police said that Kartik Das was murdered by his nephew in Karodih under the Jamua police station area on Saturday evening.
Kartik Das's son, Laxman Prasad Das, alleged that his father was attacked by his cousins Devanandan Das, Ramkrishna Das, Puran Das and others with rods, spades and sticks over a land dispute near their house.
Last month a simital incident occurred in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Here a minor dispute between uncle Samjan Ali and nephew Wasim Ali over the road land turned into a bloody conflict, which drowned a family in an ocean of pain and tears.
The uncle died on the spot in this incident, while the nephew is seriously injured and is battling for life in the hospital.
It is being told that a heated argument started between the two sides over the road land late on Friday evening. According to the local people, this dispute was smoldering for a long time, but no one had thought that it would take such a horrific form.
The argument soon turned into a violent clash. Sticks and sharp weapons were used in anger. Samjan Ali suffered serious injuries in this bloody conflict, due to which he died on the spot. Wasim Ali was also seriously injured, and was immediately rushed to Medical College, Gorakhpur, where his condition remains critical.
