Meerut: Police held a man forcefully kissing a woman in public; Says, ‘Please forgive me’

Meerut: Police arrested a man who misbehaved with a burqa-clad woman in Lisadi Gate police station area. The name of the accused is Sohail, who is a resident of Lakkhipura street number-16, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

After arresting him police strictly taught him a lesson and also released a video of him, in which he is seen holding his ears and apologizing. In the video, Sohail can be heard limping and saying "I made a mistake sir, please forgive me".

Few days ago, a burqa-clad woman was passing through the road in Lisadi Gate police station area. Then a bike-riding youth misbehaved with her and fled from the spot. The entire incident was captured on a mobile camera by a passerby. This video went viral on social media instantly.

Accused Confession

After the video went viral, Lisadi Gate police immediately swung into action. The accused was identified as Sohail, a resident of Lakkhipura. The police nabbed the accused within a few hours. During interrogation, he confessed his crime.

This incident is of May 20. When a woman was passing through the street wearing a burqa with her daughter. Then a bike rider came in front. Who suddenly stopped his bike. The youth kissed the woman without any warning and then fled while making indecent remarks.

Light Physical Lesson

After the arrest, the police dealt strictly with the accused and taught him a lesson. In another video viral on social media, Sohail can be seen holding his ears and apologizing and admitting his mistake. Seeing his condition, it can be guessed that the police have also given him a light physical lesson.

Police Statement

SSP Dr Vipin Tada took the incident seriously and said that such acts will not be tolerated at all. The accused is being sent to jail. Strict action will be taken against those who play with the dignity of women. In the video, Sohail can be heard limping and saying "Galti ho gayi sir, maaf kar do".

Case Registered

Taking it seriously, a case was registered. SP City Ayush Vikram Singh said that the video is being investigated and the bike rider is being searched with the help of CCTV cameras. An attempt was also made to extract information from the bike number.
