Meerut’s Saurabh Murder Trial Begins: Victim’s brother gives emotional testimony; Key revelations about Muskaan and Sahil

Meerut: The trial process in the famous Saurabh murder case started in the court on Monday (7 July). In the court of the District Judge, the case plaintiff Saurabh's elder brother Rahul, alias Bablu, was cross-examined.

According to the Dynamite News correspondent, during this time, defense lawyer Rekha Jain asked Rahul several questions. While answering them, he cried, remembering his younger brother Saurabh. Rahul said that Saurabh was the youngest and most beloved member of his family, but Muskaan took him away from him.

Rahul's emotional testimony in court for the first time

This case is related to the famous Saurabh murder case of Meerut, in which Muskaan and Sahil are accused of Saurabh's murder. While questioning Rahul on Monday, the defense lawyer asked questions about Saurabh's life, his studies, his work, and the financial condition of the house.

Rahul said that Saurabh was in a relationship with Muskaan, and the same relationship took the life of his younger brother. When lawyer Rekha Jain asked Rahul what Saurabh did, where he lived, and what the status of his marriage was, Rahul's voice choked up intermittently. He started saying, "Saurabh was the youngest in our house; he was our darling, our life, but Muskaan overpowered him, and then that love became the reason for his death."

Everyone present in the court became emotional after hearing Rahul's statement. He said that Muskaan trapped Saurabh in her trap and slowly put him on the wrong path. There was truth and anger in Rahul's words, as well as the deep pain of his lost innocence.

Muskaan and Sahil presented through video conferencing

Both Muskaan and Sahil are accused in the Saurabh murder case. Muskaan and Sahil were presented in the court through video conferencing (VC) from the jail. Also, both of them had demanded a lawyer for themselves from the government. After which defense lawyer Rekha Jain was appointed.

Cross-examination will continue on Tuesday

In this case, DGC Krishnakumar Choubey said that on Monday, plaintiff Rahul's statements were cross-examined, and the defense lawyer asked questions about Saurabh's family, house, and his personal information. The cross-examination will continue on Tuesday (July 8), and the defense lawyer will ask more questions to Rahul.
