Damoh: A disturbing murder case has emerged from Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh, where a 46-year-old man was arrested for allegedly killing a teenage boy in a brutal attack.
The accused, identified as Gudda Patel, was taken into custody by police after villagers reported the violent incident in Samanna village on Thursday. Authorities said the victim, a 16-year-old boy from Arthkheda village, had come to visit his sister who lives in Samanna.

Attack Took Place While Teen Was Returning Home
According to police officials, the teenager was returning on his motorcycle when Patel allegedly attacked him using an iron rod. Investigators say the accused later struck the boy repeatedly with a hammer, causing fatal injuries.
The victim died at the spot before help could arrive. Police officials said they are still investigating the motive behind the killing.
Villagers Claim Disturbing Behaviour by Accused
Residents who rushed to the scene after hearing the victim’s screams described disturbing scenes. According to local accounts cited by police, some villagers claimed they saw the accused attempting to eat flesh from the victim’s head and drink blood from his hands.
While these claims are being verified, police confirmed that the suspect was found near the body when locals arrived at the scene.
Villagers Chase Suspect Before Police Arrest
After the attack, Patel reportedly tried to escape and hid in agricultural fields near the village. When locals attempted to catch him, he allegedly threatened them with the hammer.

Villagers chased the accused and began throwing stones to stop him. Patel also reportedly hurled stones back at them during the confrontation. Police later reached the location and surrounded the fields. After an hour-long search operation, officers managed to arrest the suspect and take him into custody.

Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to determine the motive behind the crime and verify the claims made by villagers.
The victim’s family has demanded strict punishment for the accused. Police officials said further questioning and forensic analysis will help establish the full sequence of events in the case.
