Mumbai/Sonipat: The investigation into the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car has widened, with the Mumbai Crime Branch taking a third woman into custody for questioning. Investigators are examining possible links among the accused as police pursue leads across multiple states. According to officials, the woman was brought to the Anti-Extortion Cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch for questioning. Her alleged role in the incident and her possible connections with other suspects have not yet been publicly established. Two other women identified as Radha and Babita were arrested in Delhi earlier in connection with the case.
In a fresh development, the Mumbai Crime Branch’s Anti-Extortion Cell arrested three men in Sonipat, Haryana on Thursday. The accused have been identified as Sameer, Jatin and Ankit Khatak. Following their arrests, the three men were brought to Mumbai for further investigation. They are expected to be produced before a court as part of the legal process. The latest arrests follow police searches and operations in multiple locations, including Kota in Rajasthan and Delhi. Investigators have continued to pursue suspects based on intelligence inputs as they attempt to establish the sequence of events surrounding the firing.
Investigators suspect that Sameer played a coordinating role in the alleged conspiracy. According to police information cited in reports, he allegedly acted as an intermediary between Anil Pandit and the suspected shooter, Rehan. Sameer is also accused of arranging funds and weapons in connection with the incident. These allegations remain part of the ongoing investigation, and the precise roles of the individuals involved are yet to be fully established through legal proceedings.
Police are also examining the alleged involvement of Jatin and Ankit Khatak and whether other individuals helped facilitate the incident.
Another aspect of the investigation concerns a social media post in which the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly claimed responsibility for the firing shortly after the incident. Investigators are examining the reported role of Anil Pandit, who is alleged to have posted messages on behalf of the gang. The nature of the connections among the individuals named in the investigation remains under scrutiny. Police have not yet publicly established the complete chain of alleged involvement or clarified the specific roles of all the suspects.
With the latest arrests, the total number of people arrested in the case has reportedly reached 10, including two women. The third woman is being questioned, and her alleged connection to the firing incident has not been publicly established. The Crime Branch is continuing its multi-state investigation to identify the roles of the accused, establish possible links between them and determine how the alleged operation was organised.
As the probe progresses, further questioning, evidence collection and court proceedings are expected to help investigators establish the facts surrounding the firing incident. All allegations against the accused remain subject to investigation and judicial proceedings.
