Pune: Pune Rural Police on Thursday took murder accused Siya Goyal to an open ground in Pune's Lullanagar area, where she and co-accused Chetan Chaudhary allegedly rehearsed their plan to kill her fiance, Ketan Agarwal, before carrying out the crime at Lohagad Fort.

Investigators also recovered the clothes she allegedly wore on the day of the incident.

Police Recreate Alleged Murder Plan

According to investigators, Siya Goyal identified the ground where she and Chetan Chaudhary allegedly practised pushing a person before the fatal incident at Lohagad Fort on June 18. The visit formed part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged murder of 26-year-old businessman Ketan Agarwal.

Police believe the alleged rehearsal could help establish the sequence of events leading up to the crime.

Clothes Seized During House Search

During a search of Siya Goyal's residence, police seized the clothes she is believed to have worn on the day of the incident. The garments have been taken into custody for forensic examination as investigators continue collecting evidence.

Siya's father, Praveen Goyal, said police remained at the house for around 30 to 45 minutes but did not question him during the visit. Citing health issues, he declined to comment further on the case.

Crime Scene Reconstruction Continues

A day earlier, police took co-accused Chetan Chaudhary to Lohagad Fort to recreate the alleged crime using a dummy matching Ketan Agarwal's weight. Officials said Chaudhary explained the sequence of events during the reconstruction.

Police suspect Siya Goyal, who was engaged to marry Agarwal in November, conspired with Chaudhary to kill him. Initially treated as an accidental fall, the case later turned into a murder investigation. Both accused were arrested on June 23 and remain in police custody till July 3.
