Ludhiana: A tragic incident occurred late Sunday night at a tool manufacturing factory in Giaspura, Ludhiana, when a toxic gas leak exposed several workers to harmful fumes.

Seven to eight workers fell unconscious and were rushed to a nearby hospital, where three of them, including a father and his son, succumbed to the exposure early Monday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Man Singh and his son Amit, both residents of Giaspura. The identity of the third victim is yet to be confirmed.

The factory, located in Gagan Nagar, reportedly experienced the leak during ongoing operations on Sunday night, affecting workers who had come in for their night shift.

Family Claims Lack of Communication

Renu, the daughter of Man Singh, revealed that her father had been compelled to work late that night. She stated that the factory management transported the affected workers to the hospital without informing any family members.

When her father did not return home by morning, Renu visited the factory and learned about the gas leak. She rushed to the hospital, only to discover that her father and brother had passed away.

Authorities have confirmed that an investigation into the incident is underway, and appropriate action will be taken against the factory management.
