Along with this, the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has announced the appointment of a committee headed by Justice John Sundar Lal to monitor the investigation of the case. Amidst the growing anger among the people over the death of Ajit Kumar, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Tuesday talked about strict action against the culprits, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Along with this, CM Stalin spoke to the mother of the deceased Ajit Kumar. He promised all possible help to the victim's family and also talked about giving a government job to a family member and giving proper compensation.

With this announcement of the CM, the investigation of this much-discussed case has been handed over to CB/CID, which will submit its report to the High Court by July 8. The police started action in this case only after pressure from various political parties, prominent people including the general public, and the intervention of the Madurai bench of the High Court, but people are not satisfied with the action of the police.

Now a single-member bench headed by Justice John Sundar Lal will monitor the entire investigation. After the investigation led by Justice John Sundar Lal, a big decision may come out from the High Court in the case of Ajit Kumar's death. This decision of the court can prove to be heavy on many police officers.

Because the police are accused of brutally beating and torturing Ajit in custody. Many people are blaming the Sivaganga police for the death of Ajith Kumar. The death of temple guard Ajith Kumar in police custody has caused outrage in the entire city. The deceased Ajith (28) was working as a security guard at the Madapuram Kaliamman temple in Tirupuvanam.

The relatives of the deceased have alleged that Ajith was brutally beaten up by the police during interrogation and the 28-year-old died after severe police torture. The superintendent of police also admitted that Ajith Kumar was initially detained for questioning in connection with the theft at the Madapuram Kaliamman temple.

Actor-turned-politician Vijay had demanded a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the case of Kumar's custodial death. In a post on X, he said that Ajith Kumar's custodial death has raised many questions in people's minds and clearly shows to what extent the Tamil Nadu Police Department is functioning as an immoral institution that "acts in a cruel, totally inhuman, and unjust manner" towards ordinary citizens.

There have been persistent demands for filing a murder case against all the accused in this custodial death case and for speedy justice to the victims.

What is the matter?

A woman from Chennai had come to visit the temple here. She complained to the police on June 27 that her gold was stolen. The temple guard Ajit Kumar was taken into custody, where Ajit died on June 29 after alleged torture, and on June 30 the case came to light and made headlines.
