Kota: Three suspects have been detained in Rajasthan’s Kota in connection with the alleged assassination attempt on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, sources said on Monday. The suspects were picked up from the Railway Colony area of the city, they added. One of the three is reportedly from Bihar.

The detentions come as Mumbai Police intensify their investigation into the firing incident in Juhu, where a car carrying the actor was targeted. The case has been transferred to the Crime Branch for a detailed probe, while Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has vowed strict action against those responsible.

Kota Detentions Bring Fresh Momentum to Probe

Sources said the three suspects were detained from Kota’s Railway Colony area. Their alleged roles in the incident and possible links to the people involved in the firing are being investigated. Further details about their identities and the circumstances of their detention have not been disclosed.

The development is expected to be significant for investigators seeking to establish who planned and carried out the attack. However, the available information does not establish the suspects’ involvement in the firing, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Fadnavis Issues Stern Warning to Attackers

Fadnavis has warned that those behind the alleged assassination bid will not be spared. The Maharashtra chief minister said the authorities would track down those responsible and bring them to justice.

His statement comes amid concerns over attacks and threats targeting prominent personalities from the entertainment industry. The incident has also prompted calls for stronger measures to protect actors and other members of Bollywood.

Juhu Police Register Case Under BNS, Arms Act

Mumbai’s Juhu police have registered a case against three unidentified persons in connection with the firing involving the actor’s car.

The FIR invokes Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with relevant provisions of the Arms Act.

The police are investigating the circumstances of the shooting and attempting to identify those involved. The case has since been transferred to the Mumbai Crime Branch for further investigation.

Crime Branch Examines Possible Gang Links

According to sources, the Crime Branch has previously investigated cases linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This was cited as a reason for transferring the Juhu firing case to the specialised unit for a more detailed probe.

Investigators will seek to establish the motive behind the attack and determine whether the suspects detained in Kota have any connection with the incident. The available information does not confirm any link between the suspects and the gang.

Motorcycle Footage May Offer Investigative Clues

Visuals have emerged of the motorcycle allegedly used by the assailants in the firing incident targeting the actor’s car in Juhu.

The footage may help investigators piece together the sequence of events and identify those involved. Details about the motorcycle’s ownership and the route allegedly taken by the assailants have not been disclosed.

Cine Workers’ Association Raises Safety Concerns

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has condemned the firing and urged Fadnavis to intervene, describing the incident as part of a worrying pattern of attacks targeting people from the film industry.

The association cited previous incidents involving Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, filmmaker Rohit Shetty and comedian Kapil Sharma to highlight its concerns over the safety of Bollywood personalities.

AICWA alleged that gangsters were targeting film industry figures to spread fear and extort money. It also questioned how ordinary citizens could feel safe if celebrities were vulnerable to such attacks.

The association’s appeal has added to calls for stronger security measures for people working in the entertainment industry.

With three suspects detained in Kota and the case now being investigated by the Crime Branch, the focus remains on identifying everyone involved, establishing the motive and determining whether the attack was part of a wider conspiracy. The investigation is continuing.
