New Delhi: The hearing in the US District Court against the accused of the murderous attack on Donald Trump during the campaign for the second term of the presidential election began on Thursday. This attack on Trump took place while playing golf in South Florida.

The accused Ryan Ruth decided to present his case himself before US District Judge Eileen Cannon, after which the court allowed the removal of the appointed lawyers. However, they will be present in the courtroom and will provide assistance if Ruth needs any kind of help.

Ruth dismissed the allegations against him

Ruth has dismissed the allegations against him, which include violating the arms law and attacking a major presidential candidate and a federal officer with intent to murder.

What did the government lawyers accuse?

Government lawyers alleged that 59-year-old Ruth tried to assassinate Trump by ambushing him on September 15, 2024. Trump was playing golf at his West Palm Beach country club. In those days, he was also campaigning as a presidential candidate.

Nine weeks before that attack, Trump was also attacked in Pennsylvania. During that time, the gunman fired eight rounds at Trump, in which one bullet grazed Trump's ears.
