New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday recreated the crime scene at the Bhopal residence linked to the death of Twisha Sharma as part of its ongoing investigation into the case.
According to sources, investigators used dummies and sacks during the reconstruction exercise to recreate the sequence of events and examine the statements collected so far. The exercise was conducted at the residence of former judge Giribala Singh, one of the accused in the case.
Officials said the reconstruction was aimed at identifying possible inconsistencies and gaining a clearer understanding of the circumstances surrounding Twisha Sharma’s death.
The CBI had arrested Giribala Singh last week after the Madhya Pradesh High Court cancelled her anticipatory bail. The court also overturned the relief earlier granted to her by a Bhopal sessions court on May 15.

Following her arrest, the agency obtained police remand and has been questioning her regarding various aspects of the investigation.
Samarth, another accused in the case, has also been remanded to CBI custody until June 2. Sources said investigators are planning separate interrogations of both accused before conducting a face-to-face questioning session to compare their statements and verify details.
During the ongoing interrogation, investigators have reportedly questioned Giribala Singh about allegations related to Twisha Sharma’s treatment at her matrimonial home, including claims concerning harassment, injuries and reports linked to her alleged pregnancy.

The agency is also examining forensic and medical evidence collected during the investigation.
Twisha Sharma was allegedly found hanging at her in-laws’ residence in the Katara Hills area of Bhopal. Following her death, her family accused her husband and in-laws of dowry-related harassment and demanded a detailed and impartial investigation.
Earlier in the probe, the CBI had taken Samarth to the Katara Hills residence for a detailed inspection of the scene. A specialised forensic team from Delhi also assisted investigators by conducting videography, photography and evidence collection at the site.
The team reportedly spent several hours examining the residence and questioning Samarth regarding the events that took place on the night of May 12.
