Mumbai: Bodies of two men were found under a trailer in Sector-19 of the APMC Market area in Navi Mumbai on Sunday, police said.

The deceased have been identified as a driver and his assistant, both reportedly working on the same vehicle. The APMC Market Yard is a major hub for truck parking and transport-related activities in the region.

Bodies Found at Busy Market Yard

According to police, the exact circumstances leading to the deaths are still unclear. The incident came to light in the busy market area, which witnesses heavy movement of trucks and goods vehicles throughout the day.

Authorities have not ruled out multiple possibilities, including heat-related causes.

Heat Stroke Suspected

Assistant Police Inspector Amit Shelar said preliminary suspicion points towards heat-related deaths. “Police suspect the deaths may be due to heat. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem,” he said.

Post-Mortem Examination Underway

Both bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Police have registered a case and further investigation is in progress.
