Bahraich: After killing two teenagers in Nindoorpurwa village of Gram Panchayat Tepraha in the Ramgaon area, a young man locked himself and his family in a room and set himself on fire. Six people died on the spot.

Firefighters arrived after receiving information and managed to control the fire after a lot of effort. The entire area has been gripped by panic. Police from four police stations and two companies of the PAC have been sent. Inspector General Amit Pathak inspected the scene. Police are investigating the cause of the incident.

Vijay Kumar, a resident of Nindoorpurwa Tepraha village in the Ramgaon area, was involved in farming and animal husbandry. It is reported that on Wednesday morning, he called 12-year-old Suraj Yadav, 13-year-old Shani Verma, and 15-year-old Kishan to his house to clean garlic.

After a while, he sent Kishan to clean a branch in the field. It is reported that after some time, the teenagers said they wanted to go home. Angered by this, Vijay killed Suraj and Shani with a sharp weapon.

He then locked his wife, six-year-old daughters, Chhotki and eight-year-old Prerna, in a room and set it on fire. When smoke rose, villagers feared something was wrong and a large crowd gathered outside his house. By then, the entire house was engulfed in flames.

The police and fire department were informed. Police arrived at the scene and found the bodies of two teenagers lying in a pool of blood in the courtyard. After firefighters managed to control the fire, the door to the room was found locked. When the police tried to open it with the help of villagers, it was locked from inside.

After breaking the door, the half-burnt bodies of Vijay, his wife, and two daughters were also recovered from inside the room. Kishan said that if he hadn't gone to trim a tree branch, he too would have been killed. Since the incident, an atmosphere of terror has gripped the entire area.

Upon receiving the information, DM Akshay Tripathi, SP RN Singh, SDM Sadar Pooja Chaudhary, ASP Rural DP Tiwari, CO DK Srivastava, Station House Officer Madanlal, and other police officers arrived at the scene. The forensic team collected evidence from the scene. Upon receiving the information, Devipatan Division IG Amit Pathak also left for the scene.
