Agra: The Uttar Pradesh STF’s Noida unit, along with Agra Police, carried out a major operation in the Ekta Police Station area. During the operation, an exchange of fire took place with criminals, leaving one of them seriously injured. The injured criminal was immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, the injured criminal has been identified as Pawan, alias Kallu, son of Sant Ram, a resident of Siroli, Loni, Ghaziabad. Pawan was wanted in an extortion case registered at Tajganj Police Station in Agra, with a reward of ₹50,000 announced for his capture.
Pawan is a designated shooter for the infamous Randeep Bhati – Amit Kasana gang. He has over 18 criminal cases registered against him, including four for murder and two for extortion. In 2021, a reward of ₹1 lakh was announced against him in a murder case, following which he was sent to jail in Delhi.
Police recovered a significant number of firearms and ammunition from Pawan’s possession. This seizure highlights the active role of law enforcement in tackling serious criminals and ensuring public safety in the region.
During his time in jail, Pawan came into contact with the notorious Himanshu Bhau gang from Haryana. After his release in 2025, he began demanding large-scale extortion and, in collaboration with this gang, was planning major criminal activities in Delhi and western Uttar Pradesh.
This police operation is a critical step in dismantling criminal networks and ensuring the safety of the public. Further investigation continues into Pawan, alias Kallu, and his associates.
