Udham Singh Nagar: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand.
There was a fierce dispute between two parties over a shop located in Galla Mandi of Rudrapur police station area, report Dynamite News correspondent.
Shortly after, the dispute took the form of violence and one party shot and killed the father and son.
After carrying out the incident, the accused fled. The police, who reached the spot on information, took the bodies in their possession and sent them for post-mortem. The police have started investigating the matter.
The deceased have been identified as Gurmeet Singh (father) and Manpreet (son), residents of Ishwar Colony.
According to the information, late on Sunday night, Gurmeet Singh came to know from the CCTV footage that some people were breaking the wall of his shop.
On this, he reached the shop located in Galla Mandi with his son Manpreet. During this, there was an altercation between the two sides and a dispute started.
The dispute escalated so much that the occupiers opened fire on Gurmeet Singh and Manpreet Singh, due to which Gurmeet and Manpreet died on the spot.
According to the information, a shop located in Galla Mandi was earlier owned by Dinesh Saluja.
Saluja had taken a loan from the bank. But after the account became NPA, the bank took action and auctioned the said property. After the auction, the said property was bought by Gurmeet Singh of Rudrapur.
After which there was a dispute between the two parties. Dinesh Saluja had sought refuge in the court regarding this matter. But he did not get any relief from the court as well.
The police administration was left in a state of panic after getting the information about the double murder. In a hurry, Kotwali police along with SSP, SP City, SP Crime, CO City reached the spot and inspected the crime scene and gathered information.
SP City Uttam Singh Negi said that two parties came face to face over a shop dispute late on Sunday night. During this, one party shot and killed the father and son. Police is investigating the case. The culprits will be arrested soon.
