Chandranath Rath Case: Police arrests 3 shooters from UP & Bihar in murder of Suvendu Adhikari’s PA

West Bengal Police has arrested three suspects from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in murder of Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari’s PA Chandranath Rath.

Kolkata: Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of Chandranath Rath PA to West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, police said on Monday. These suspects were detained in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

The shooters have been identified as Mayank Raj Mishra, Vicky Maurya and Raj Singh, Madhyamgram, police said.

According West Bengal Police, Mayank Raj Mishra and Vicky Maurya were detained from Buxar in Bihar, while Raj Singh was detained from Ballia in Uttar Pradesh on May 10.

After an interrogation, all three were formally arrested by Madhyamgram Police Station on Monday. Further investigation is underway.

Arrests were made in connection with Madhyamgram Police Station Case No. 353 dated May 6, registered under sections 103(1), 111(2)(a), 126(2), 3(5) and 61(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) read with sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act.
