Woman arrested for sending messages to kill husband and herself
Gurugram: Cyber Crime Police Station South has arrested a woman accused of sending messages to kill herself and her husband by creating a fake ID on Instagram. The woman had created a fake ID in the name of a girl due to differences with her husband.
At the same time, the woman herself had complained to the police about receiving threatening messages from Instagram. The police have also recovered the mobile used to send messages from the accused woman.
Priya Mishra, a resident of Tower Q The Courtyard, Sohna, had complained to Cyber Crime Police Station South that a girl's Instagram ID was sending her and her husband threatening to kill her.
On the basis of the complaint, the police registered an FIR. On investigation, it was found that the complainant herself was the one sending the threatening messages. After this, the police arrested the accused woman.
The accused woman told the police that she was having a rift with her husband, due to which she had created a fake account on Instagram in the name of a girl and sent messages to kill herself and her husband. After this, she herself filed a case by giving a false complaint to the police.
The police has recovered the mobile phone used to create a fake ID and send messages from the accused woman. The police is investigating the matter to find out whether the woman has sent any message to any other person or not.
